How Bequestor works

A simple process designed around clarity.

Bequestor helps estate planning firms guide clients through the personal-property details that are often difficult to organize, explain, or preserve over time.

Step 1

The estate planning firm invites the client.

Bequestor accounts begin with an invitation from a participating estate planning firm. Clients activate their account through the invitation email and gain access to their secure client portal.

Step 2

The client creates their Legacy Record.

Clients document meaningful belongings, add photographs, record locations, identify intended recipients, and preserve the personal context that helps explain why items matter.

The record can be updated over time as belongings, family circumstances, and wishes evolve.

The goal is not simply to list belongings. The goal is to preserve the context that helps future generations understand them.

Step 3

Review and generate the Legacy Record.

When ready, clients review their information and generate a professional Legacy Record that organizes their entries into a structured format.

Step 4

Create greater family clarity.

By organizing belongings, intended recipients, notes, and photos in one place, families, executors, and advisors have a clearer reference when important decisions need to be made.
